Rose Lanham built BonjourEvents.com as a fresh resource for event planners to share ideas and gain knowledge to be more efficient in their event planning role.  As an event producer with 12 years experience in sports and corporate event marketing, most recently as the Natl. Events Manager for Yahoo!'s advertising sales team, she wants to share some tips that would have helped her along the way. 

After volunteering to help the college atheletic department's Marketing VP with anything   just to be able to review the sponsorship contracts, Rose knew a career in event marketing and management was her dream path.  Two days after graduating, Rose pursued a role at the Atlanta Olympic Games, experiencing first hand the importance of precise event logistics, and long event days.  Following the Olympics Rose enjoyed a career in sports marketing in So. Cal, first in the glorious role all sports marketers begin - selling tickets, working towards a career focused on corporate event sponsorships.  While in San Diego Rose had the opportunity to work on several celebrity charity events including a Hall of Fame dinner to honor the great Ted Williams and Tony Gwynn and help produce Celebrity Players Tour Golf Tournaments. 

After several years in sports event marketing, Rose made the move to Silicon Valley join Yahoo! Inc. and managed multi-million dollar event budgets. After seven years of producing conferences, awards shows, and client hospitality events she left Yahoo! with many, many happy memories, and too many frequent flier miles.

Rose has produced events in LA, San Diego, San Francisco, NY, Orlando, Naples, Scottsdale, Palm Springs and Pebble Beach - and for that reason, now enjoys traveling as far as the office computer.  Rose enjoys living in the beautiful bay area with her husband.
