Event Summaries, It's a Wrap!

When your event is all done and you are so relieved to put your feet up, there's just one more step before you clear your mind of all things related to the little project that has been your life the past six months.  A brief Event Summary form will help you and all others involved in the event next time around be more efficient and smart about your planning decisions.

Event Summary forms are great for corporate memory, year end budget reviews and usually very appreciated by upper management who simply want a high level glance of the event.  There are many ways to create an Event Summary and including photos is always a plus.  A few of the data points to include:  date, location, venue, actual budget, number of attendees, and speaker reviews (who resonated with this group).

You can get fancy and create a photo slide show with your information laid on top or keep it simple.  The objective is to collect your thoughts in one place.  Personally, I prefer a word document, ideally two pages long, that can easily be emailed to the appropriate parties and added to a notebook with other Event Summaries from the year.  We've uploaded a sample to the Event Templates section that you can edit to fit your event.  Enjoy!

I create an event summary for every event I through. I customize the summary with great pictures of people at the event and the event elements. I find it gives the summary a little bit of the energy that the event had and really does a lot more than just showing the "metrics." It also makes preparing the summaries alot more fun. HAHA
